eco-friendly iPhone

You can power a digital clock with a few orange slices. But, have you ever wondered how much of orange electricity or how many orange slices are needed to power the iPhone? Imperial Leisure, a marketing agency, created this iPhone-centric advertisement to raise awareness for Jaffa Oranges.

How long will it last for. The combined power - until the juice dries up, or forever, or a few seconds etc. I can't seem to find the info, and it is a very interesting concept. But like all bio-fuels, while they work, they mean the price of food is going up - thus making hunger ridden countries even worse off.

I don't think electricity from oranges would be a viable alternative to traditional and renewable energy sources. It is a very interesting concept though that I thought might be of interest to readers.

No, I agree, I think that it is fascinating, I didnt mean for it to sound like i was giving out - we did the same with Potatoes at worked also. Great idea and just shows that there are alternatives. I was just curious as to the life of the "Orange Battery". If an alternative method of extracting power could be developed (a coil system inside the orange - more contact with internal etc) how long could it work. The numbers of 22+ thousand for 1 iphone is crazy, but the first solar power panels could barely run digital watches so.. Thanks for the reply.
